    This is a really amazing map of the problem you’re trying to tackle. I think it’s really interesting to see the angle that you’re coming at that central question of Community Media Center relevancy—it seems very much based around the defining how a communities operate and how information is distributed. I think this is really neat since most Cable Access critiques come from questioning the relevancy of the media produced. You seem to be looking at the entire community information network and saying “can CMC’s play an integral role in this?” and being very agnostic about what form that information may take. Or at least, that’s my interpretation :-)

    I agree that the discussion really needs to focus on the role that the physical community media center plays in enabling whatever form of community communication a community decides is right for them, whether it’s cable, Internet, etc.

    You should also know that you’re input on this project has really helped shape my thinking in this direction. So, thanks!
